Here at Frances Day Bridal we can’t begin to tell you how important having the correct fitting dress is and it’s something we really pride ourselves on. We are considering this even before you’ve selected ‘the one’ and is at the forefront of our minds throughout every minute spent with us.

We are delighted to be able to offer you an inhouse alterations service headed up by our lead seamstress Jenny. Having trained in pattern cutting, Jenny has been specialised in bridal alterations for over 12 years now and is really our alterations oracle. Her acute eye for detail and steady hands have us totally in awe and she’ll make sure you walk away with a perfectly fitted gown. We’d be lost without her.

Ideally we book you in for your measuring appointment 4 to 5 months before your wedding date. The actual fitting process usually occurring in the last 2 months before the big day. We appreciate that everyone is under different circumstances so we are happy to tailor to every clients experience individually.

Alterations are not included in the purchase price of any gown, we offer three alterations packages that we can discuss with you in more detail, depending on the customisation level required. If you have purchased your dress from another boutique and need help with alterations, we will do our best to help where possible.
