Be Inspired
Gals, what is the point of using social media if you can’t use it to inspire you??
With all of our social media channels we dipped our toes in the water at first by following small brands and household names we adore. By taking a virtual peek in to their worlds we discovered why it is we love what they do and why we are willing to pay for the products and services they offer.
A brands messaging and what goes on behind a designers ateliers closed doors will more often than not be the reason why we are prompted to go and discover more about them in the first place. All of our individual designers are on instagram, regularly sharing their new work and the muses behind it, giving us exciting snippets of their personal life, and showing social media exclusive behind-the-scenes peeks. These personal connections can make all the difference to who you want to design your gown or accessories.
The same can be said when planning other areas of your wedding day beyond the dress. Follow well-curated accounts that dole out an array of gorgeous styling inspiration as this can really help you craft your theme.
Sourcing Your Suppliers
We are a little bit obsessed with sharing our boutique and designers on our social media and most of the suppliers we work and recommend also have the most insanely gorgeous images for you to pour over.
Websites and brochures most definitely have a purpose but they can date so quickly. Social media is a great way for brides to be to see a more up to date portfolio of a suppliers most recent work.
On Instagram in particular you can also search for the images a supplier has been tagged in, allowing you to see how a guest or other supplier may have captured a suppliers work in a more natural, less contrived setting.
Getting Specific
Lot’s of brides will hand over their phone to us when they are seeking something specific, it can be a really effective way of conveying what is is they are looking for efficiently and effectively.
It’s particularly brilliant when we can incorporate a glass of bubbles in to your shopping experience and get a glimpse of your Pinterest board and see what kind of vibe the overall wedding is going to have as that inevitably influences the kind of gown you may wish to wear. This extends to other suppliers as well, lots of wedding creatives are visual thinkers and being able to explore the brief with you in a such a way can be innovative and exciting.
Dates for your diaries
We regularly shout all about our sample sales, trunk shows and upcoming events on our social media and we know lots of other suppliers love being in direct conversation with you too across social media platforms. Make sure you follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest to keep in the loop with all of the exciting developments and announcements at Frances Day Bridal.
