Emma & Spencer’s wedding was always going to be something else: The bride works at FDB afterall! But now with the benefit of hindsight, it was something else for so many other unexpected reasons.

Marrying on the 8th February 2020 at The Pumping Station in the heart of the Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, Emma chose to wear ‘Pippa’ by Jenny Packham encrusted in the most incredibly beautiful silver set beads topped off with a floaty silk chiffon A line skirt. It was the styling that Emma really went to town on and elevated her look to the most stunningly beautiful heights.

Having studied fashion design at university and now living and breathing bridal on the daily, Emma wanted to make her bridal style truly her own - unique and personal to her. We spent so many wonderful hours discussing different options and trying on all sorts of accessories - but in the end, it was such a clear choice.

So lets start from the top. Our wonderful friend Clemmie from Miss Clemmie Bridal Accessories designed Emma a bespoke halo style crown to perfectly compliment the beading on her dress. As Emma has the most beautifully long neck, we accentuated this with a super delicate pair of Clemmie’s earrings - again made especially for the bride herself.

Now, arguably the pièce de résistance of the entire look was the ‘Jagger’ Cape again by Jenny Packham. The weight of this is just perfection and hugs the shoulders so beautifully with the softest ostrich feathers to give it a real frothiness.

And to keep this newlywed bride dancing all night, it had to be ‘Lindsey’ by I Am Florence to finish the look off.

Now that was the bridal style - I think you will agree, every inch perfection! But little did we know that shortly after the new Mr & Mrs Hall were married, the country/world would be plunged into the cruel and unrelenting grip of COVID:19. This would be the last time for so many of Emma & Spencers friends and family that they would eat, meet and be merry in the company of so many for so long. And what a better way to go out on a high before the world pressed pause.

We wish Emma & Spencer so much love and happiness every day, but especially on their 1st wedding anniversary - what a 1st year its been!?!
